This Sunday, Racing TV brings you the superb card from Fairyhouse where there are three Grade One contests to savour.
We will also be covering all the action from Kelso and Huntingdon, with the latter course staging the Grade Two Fitzdares Peterborough Chase.
I have four selections, three of them trained by Willie Mullins.
12.25 Fairyhouse: Zarak The Brave
Fairly useful on the Flat in France, this Mullins-trained gelding made an impressive start to his hurdling career when winning on debut here at Fairyhouse by ten lengths. He sped clear from two out, recording a top-class speed figure for a juvenile.
He has been given more than three weeks to recover from that big effort and, rather than recoil, I expect him to step forward now and prove even sharper. His main rival is Comfort Zone, but he faces a quick turnaround after an impressive win just six days ago at Navan.
1.25 Fairyhouse: Champ Kiely
I put this horse up as my horse to follow for the season in the Racing TV magazine at the start of the season and Grade One success awaits him now. His two wins this season at Galway and Tipperary over different distances were both wildly impressive to the eye and his speed figure at Tipperary last time was striking.
In the latter race he easily beat the Cheltenham Festival winner Brazil, who then went on to comfortably land a Grade Three event himself. To further boost the form the fourth in that race, beaten some ten lengths, went on to win a Listed hurdle. Champ Kiely is an exciting prospect whose two wins this season over different trips and at tracks with different configurations make him not just very useful, but versatile as well.
2.55 Huntingdon: Pic D’Orhy
Paul Nicholls has his horses in tremendous form and he can land the Peterborough Chase with his smart gelding. First Flow may well go off favourite, meaning that 11-4 or bigger could be available about this novice last season and is a classy individual.
He was a dual Grade Two winner last season as a novice and this sharp track should suit his strong travelling style. He had a nice pipe opener at Newton Abbot in mid-October, where he was not hard pressed and didn’t have a hard race in coming home an easy winner. That should have blown away the cobwebs and he can step up to their mark here in much better company.
3.05 Fairyhouse: Icare Allen
This horse looks well-handicapped off a mark of 140. It’s his first season in open company after proving himself to be a leading juvenile last season. He boasts a fourth in what was a stellar renewal of the Triumph Hurdle and he won a Grade Three over this course and distance, where he beat Prairie Dancer very easily.
That horse has subsequently won comfortably off a mark of 132, which makes the Icare Allen’s rating look favourable. The fact that Mullins looks to exploit his handicap mark, rather than take in Graded stakes company, is a tip in itself.

Lydia Hislop (who advised Jack Richards winner Meetmebythesea at 16/1 earlier this year) and Ruby Walsh reflect on the action on day three of the 2026 Cheltenham Festival.
Irish-trained horses dominated the Grade Ones courtesy of Wodhooh, Home By The Lee and Heart Wood, but the Brits rallied with handicap successes for Meetmebythesea, Supremely West and Ask Brewster, along with Graded glory for White Noise.
Willie Mullins was critical of the ground conditions at Cheltenham as the pair also discuss Fact To File's defection from the Ryanair Chase.

Ireland lead the Prestbury Cup 11-10 after another fabulous day of action on day three of the 2026 Cheltenham Festival.
Britain struck first as the Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls-trained White Noise caused a 40/1 stir in the Ryanair Mares' Novice Hurdle, before Ben Pauling's Meetmebythesea landed the Jack Richards Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.
Ireland struck back by capturing all three Grade Ones on the card courtesy of Wodhooh in the Close Brothers' Mares' Hurdle, 11-year-old Home By The Lee's triumph in the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle and Heart Wood's emphatic win in the Ryanair Chase.
However, it was the Brits who had the last laugh with wins for Supremely West in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle and Ask Brewster in the Rosconn Group Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Amateur Jockeys' Handicap Chase.

Cath Williams scored a Cheltenham Festival winner with just her second runner as a trainer as Ask Brewster showed great spirit to land the Rosconn Group Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup.
She took over the licence from husband Evan earlier in the week after he was convicted of assaulting a dog walker who was on his land late at night.
Cath Williams’ first runner was Libberty Hunter, who finished second in the Queen Mother Champion Chase on Wednesday, but 24 hours later, Ask Brewster went one better as he won the final race of the day by a neck under Shane Cotter.
The winning handler said: “I’m delighted, it’s been an emotional week and it is what it is, we’ll deal with it.
“I don’t know the jockey but he was brilliant. I think Evan spoke to a couple of the Irish lads and so did Conor Ring and that is who we got.
“We were confident coming in to it and we knew he was in good order. We just needed the good ground from yesterday and we were worried when it rained this morning.
“Our runners have finished first and second this week, what more can you ask. The two runs from our horses have been huge.”
Cotter was notching his first Festival success on the 22-1 chance who, having made most of the running, showed plenty of heart to fend off Road To Home in the dying strides.
“To have a ride here is unbelievable but to have a winner, I’m lost for words,” said Cotter.
“I can’t thank the Williams team for putting me on this horse today and they prepared him beautifully. He jumped and travelled everywhere.
“There was not really any moment of worry until I popped the last and could feel something coming to me. I heard Patrick (Mullins) coming to me but when he got to me my horse went again, he was very game.
“I’ve dreamt of this since I was seven or eight years old. I’m speechless.”

Supremely West landed a monster gamble in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle.
The 100-30 favourite justified the confidence of his trainer Dan Skelton as he recorded a comfortable three and a half length success.
Dan Skelton said: “After running him over two and a half at Aintree, which was a disaster, we said look, we’re all in, we’re gambling, we’re qualified for the race. I said to Jimmy, ‘Look, this might happen if you’re really patient’, and to be fair to the man, he has been. If you have got one you think it can happen with, you’ve got to be patient.
“There was a bit going on in the race and he was a bit fresh the whole way, but it was great.
“Our job is to win, and to win with with ones which can win, and you can win any one, and we’re very proud of that. The whole team work hard to get it all to happen.
“It’s not ever as simple as it looks, but it’s been an idea since he qualified. I toyed with the idea that he didn’t stay and dropped him back in trip last time so see if he didn’t stay, but that was obviously the wrong thing and we’ve built back up to that. I’m very proud of the horse. He had a big chance today and sometimes when the light shines on you, you can crack under the heat, but he didn’t.”
On Kabral Du Mathan, who was fourth in the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle, he said: “Kabral is a young horse, he’s come here to win. Harry gave him a sublime ride, he then just didn’t stay – what can you do? That’s our sport, you have to get up that hill. I wasn’t counting my chickens, I knew there was a question, I thought he would stay, but he didn’t.”
Winning rider Harry Skelton said: “In sport, professional sport, you’re never satisfied. You just want the next one, and I thought Kabral Du Mathan would win. But Tom Messenger, our assistant, said, ‘Don’t worry, this one will stay’, and he was right. We’ve been running him back at two-and-a-half, stepping back up to three has really suited him. Dan has trained him perfectly, hasn’t over-raced him.
“I’m delighted for Jimmy (Fyffe, owner), obviously he’s fairly new to us in the yard, but is heavily invested in a lot of horses. His dream was to have a winner at the Festival, and we’ve delivered that. Dan said to him, ‘Jimmy, we will get you that’. I’m really happy for Jimmy, this will mean a lot to him. Tuesday feels a long time ago and you just want more; you get greedy in this game but it’s such a great leveler, nothing is easy. I’m delighted to be able to walk back down there after a winner again.”
Ruth Jefferson, trainer of runner-up Lavida Adiva, her only runner at the meeting, said: “She’s runs a blinder. She’s unrideable and made Brian’s life very difficult out there. We couldn’t bury her down the rail and we were probably right not to.You have to give her some kind of room but she’s not easy. She’s not even very big, bless her, but she’s tough. She’s like a terrier.
“We are stood here (in second) wondering why we are not over there (the winner’s spot) but we are still thrilled. Why wouldn’t we be. We are second in a big-field handicap with a cracking filly.”
Ger Tumelty, assistant to Olly Murphy, trainer of third–placed Ikarak: “Our lad ran a cracker. He’d won two out of three this season and he qualified for the race. Now he’s finished third in a Pertemps at 40-1 - a career best.”

Heart Wood eased to victory to take the Ryanair Chase in convincing style at the Cheltenham Festival.
Trained by Henry de Bromhead and ridden by Darragh O’Keeffe, Heart Wood went off a 9-2 chance after Fact To File was withdrawn and was bidding to go one better than his second-placed finish behind that horse last year.
The eight-year-old always looked comfortable and drew level with JPR One, who made the running, at the turn for home before pulling clear up the hill to register a 10-length victory over the 2-1 favourite Jonbon.
