12.17: Curragh: Choctaw Nation (NAP)
This colt was very well backed to beat the useful Jesus Green on his debut and ran well to finish second.
Jesus Green has since gone on to finish third in the Group One Criterium de Saint-Cloud to give the form a very solid look. He will take a big step forward from that day given that he looked green under pressure, and it would be no surprise to see him win this impressively and get quotes for a classic next season. He is my play of the day.

The Dan Skelton team have plenty of runners at Carlise and Keops Des Bordes can be at least one winner for them.
He has shaped well in his two Bumper starts and the way he travelled when last seen at Ayr in April suggests that he has plenty of ability. This looks to be an ideal opportunity for him on his hurdling debut.

1.27 Curragh: Excellent Believe
Excellent Believe shaped well when coming home first in his group in the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot. He was well supported that day, but as it turned out, had no chance from his low draw.
That is not the first time that he has looked capable of winning a decent handicap and those that got their fingers burned at Ascot may be back for compensation here.
2.37 Curragh: Amelia Earhart
Amelia Earhart will appreciate the drop in grade here after competing in Grade One contests on her last four starts.
She has improved since being stepped up in trip and has shown that she still retains the speed that she showed when winning at Chester earlier this season.
She has comfortably achieved the best speed figures in this race and can gain due reward for a consistent season in tough company.
