Betting expert Dave Nevison tipped winners at 5-1 and 6-4 on Saturday and bids to continue his good form with three selections at Lingfield and Chepstow on Tuesday.
2.30 Lingfield: Circuit Breaker
This Jonjo and A J O’Neill-trained gelding has never raced in a handicap of this low a grade previously and, after an encouraging recent run at Carlisle, he may well be able to take advantage of this significant drop in grade.
An habitual front runner, Circuit Breaker looks set to get a largely uncontested lead under the very experienced Simon Walker. He finished third over this course and distance back in the spring, and the two that finished in front of him both went in next time, so he has to be favourably weighted off a 4lb lower mark.
He must surely go very close in this, especially as some of his best races have come after a break.
3.50 Chepstow: Bobby Dassler
Bobby Dassler won over this course and distance under Mason Paetel earlier this year, and though he hasn’t been as good in two recent starts, hopefully the partnership getting back together might inspire another good run.
The seven-year-old runs without headgear this time which is interesting, but there are no unexposed types up against him and I expect the talented young claimer to be able to sit just off the pace and hopefully will be able to get Bobby Dassler’s head in front.

5.00 Chepstow: Arnaz
Arnaz seemed to benefit from the removal of headgear as well as a much lower handicap mark when winning over this course and distance nine days ago.
Ed Walker’s five-year-old handicapper had run well enough off a mark of 72 not that long ago, so is clearly well handicapped off a mark of 54 and, now that he has returned to form he looks one to stick with for a while.
Arnaz was well ridden by a 7lb claimer for the recent win, but Billy Loughnane takes over here and it is difficult to not think that is a plus.
