December Sales date for Venetian Sun

Connections have revealed that the Commonwealth Cup winner Venetian Sun will be sold at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale.
The Karl Burke-trained three-year-old was last seen finishing a length-second to Comanche Brave in the July Cup at Newmarket, but was reported to have sustained a tendon injury a month ago.
Patrick Veitch, representing owners Tony Bloom and Ian McAleavy, told Tuesday’s Nick Luck Daily Podcast: "We've made the decision to take her and send her to the December sales.
"Obviously, we're a sort of growing organisation, but as yet not as big as the very biggest organisations. And with Santorini Star and Sky Majesty also to retire this year, we felt that at some point along the line we do have to make some sales.
"And Venetian Sun being such an enticing offer, we've decided to send her to the December sales.
"She has had a minor tendon injury, so it will be a decision whether somebody wants to race her next year. But obviously she is taking the absolutely top-class form she has at two and three to the breeding shed."
