Why World Pool Wins
✅ International liquidity powering bigger, stronger pools
✅ More money returned to customers
✅ Exceptional value on Exactas & Trifectas
✅ Fair, transparent, pool‑based betting
Nic Doggett provides a guide to the first five contests at Newmarket on Saturday, with World Pool in operation for those races. As a collaboration of global Totes,
World Pool enables bettors from all over the globe to bet into a single pool, the result being enormous liquidity, and a multi-million pound betting experience. Due to the dynamic nature of the pool, customers can receive higher pay outs than they would receive with bookmakers. In the UK, the Tote operates Tote Guarantee which means the UK and Irish pools will always match or exceed the industry Starting Price (SP) on Win bets.
Race 1 - Modern Games Darley Stakes (Group 3)
A small turnout for this 1800m (9f) contest which could turn tactical, and that may best suit BOILING POINT who could get an easy lead. He bumped into a well-backed (and well-ridden) sort at Goodwood last time and last year's Cambridgeshire winner looks the value to land a third course success. The three-year-old Humidity is the only other rival for the lead, but might be ridden with more restraint now up in trip for his belated seasonal reappearance. Joel Stakes runner-up The Lost King is enjoying a fine season and doesn't face a rival of the calibre of Talk Of New York, but he had a hard race there and it's been a long season. Haatem is the other big player, but he was well-placed to win in America last time and this looks a little bit of an afterthought under a penalty.

Race 2 - Native Trail Zetland Stakes (Group 3)
DRUMBEAT never really looked like troubling the first two home when third in the Beresford Stakes last time, but that was another step forward and this longer 2000m (10f) trip should see further improvement; he will be extremely hard to beat. The longer distance will suit Bowdens, too, but this looks a tough second assignment, so the bigger danger could be stablemate Sword Salute who won well at Goodwood earlier in the campaign. Course winner Netherstream looks the pick of the rest.
Drumbeat ran well in defeat behind stablemate Noble Exhibit last time out
Race 3 - Emirates Autumn Stakes (Group 3)
This doesn't look a strong renewal and – in a 1600m (8f) race that has been kind to Godolphin over the years – ready preference is for their pair. The good-looking Rock Montreal is an obvious contender given how close he went at Doncaster, but the equally striking AL JABBAR is clearly highly-thought-of and could prove the value with his recent win franked by the runner-up. Notable Dream ran well in defeat here last month, but the bigger danger could be Sergei Diaghilev who bumped into a very smart sort i nthe form of Desert Castle last time and should relish the step back up in distance here.
Darkness Falls was a Group One winner at Leopardstown last time Race 4 - Darley Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1)
Potential superstar Desert Castle may have his impressive Champagne Stakes win franked in the previous race by Sergei Diaghilev, but that one's stablemates DARKNESS FALLS and Great Barrier Reef offer stiff resistance as they bid to give Aidan O'Brien a record-breaking ninth win in the race. The former should have enough pace for this shorter 1400m (7f) distance and his Leopardstown win was franked earlier this week; he gets the nod. Coventry Stakes winner Great Barrier Reef is open to more improvement over this longer trip and shouldn't be dismissed too readily. In contrast, Gentle Hurricane and Jassas look up against it in this small but select field.
Race 5 - Club Godolphin Cesarewitch Handicap
Last year's winner BEYLERBEYI rarely runs a bad race and has had his recent Doncaster Cup second (Berkshire Sundance back in sixth) franked in no uncertain manner by Caballo De Mar who has since followed up in the Prix Du Cadran. Although higher in the weights than 12 months ago when given a brilliantly cool ride by Billy Loughnane to beat Dawn Rising, he is well-in here (similar to last year) with his mark due to go up in future. Kirchner caught the eye in defeat at York last time (Mountain Road runner-up ahead of him) and rates a big threat, along with the Emmet Mullins-trained pair Cock And Bull and Dream On Baby. Old-timers Reverend Hubert and 2024 winner Alphonse Le Grande have plenty of history with this 3600m (18f) handicap and are others who join the unexposed Sea Lantern on a lengthy shortlist.
