Friday tips: Katie Midwinter has a best bet at four different meetings

Which horse at Aintree "could be worth keeping onside" according to the former Tipstar champ? Katie shares her best bets of the day, including selections at Aintree, Meydan and Dundalk - all live on Racing TV.

1.50 Aintree: All In You

All In You

S Bowen

W Greatrex

3/1

Sean Bowen has a great record when riding for Warren Greatrex, with a 22% strike-rate, and he partners All In You in this 2m1f handicap hurdle at Aintree.

The six-year-old gelding is making his first appearance over obstacles in 202 days, but has been kept fairly busy on the level since his fourth-placed effort in the Scottish Champion Hurdle in the spring. He finished ninth of 20 runners in the Ascot Stakes, before achieving a fourth-placed finish to Valedictory in the Mallard at Doncaster a couple of months ago.

In his latest run at York, the son of Triple Threat failed to make a significant impact, but he has race fitness on his side and may still be unexposed over hurdles, potentially capable of improving beyond his current rating of 127.

From a potentially workable mark, only 5lb higher than when a cosy winner over Dance And Glance at Sandown in January, All In You could make a winning return to the hurdling sphere and could be worth keeping onside.

3.50 Meydan: Brotherly Love

Katie Midwinter

Brotherly Love

15:50 Meydan

J:

D Tudhope

T:

J A Osborne

SP

Handicap debutant Brotherly Love has C&D form in his favour as he bids to land a third career success on reappearance for Jamie Osborne. Gelded in the spring, the son of Zoustar had previously been seen competitive in tough races, finishing fourth in the Group Two UAE Derby sponsored by Jumeirah in his latest run which followed a Listed win at this track.

This is only his eighth career start and he's a well-bred horse who has the scope for further improvement. A half-brother to Heart Of Honor, Brotherly Love has already shaped with plenty of promise with a number of quality performances, and could find further success in handicap company.

6.45 Dundalk: Never Let Go (E/W)

Never Let Go

Edward Bethell

22/1

Ed Bethell-trained Never Let Go is an interesting each-way contender in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cooley Fillies Stakes at Dundalk on Friday evening. She's a likeable filly who has recorded one win and a second-placed effort in Listed company from two all-weather starts previously, last seen chasing home Pina Sonata when sent off at odds of 25-1 at Kempton in the spring.

Making her debut for a new yard, she was a useful performer for Ed Walker previously and defied odds of 22-1 to win the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot last year before achieving more black-type with a runner-up effort at Haydock.

Having proven her capabilities of making the frame at this level, the daughter of No Nay Never could be able to improve on her latest couple of disappointing efforts following a break considering she has run well when fresh in the past and has a noteworthy record on this surface. She makes each-way appeal at the early 22-1 available.

7.00 Newcastle: Pit Boss (E/W)

Katie Midwinter

Pit Boss

19:00 Newcastle

J:

Hollie Doyle

T:

L Bailey

SP

C&D winner Pit Boss has improved plenty for a return to these familiar surroundings, far from disgraced in any of his latest three outings at this venue following a couple of disappointing efforts on turf.

He has become a Newcastle regular over the past year or so, mostly seen at this track, and went on an excellent run following his opening race of the year, recording form figures of 421223313 from the end of January to March over 6f and 7f at the track.

Currently on his last winning mark when beating Andalprofit here in the spring, the four-year-old grey is on a workable rating and was only narrowly denied in his penultimate appearance, when a half-a-length third to Lord Abama, proving he still retains plenty of ability. This could be a feasible opportunity for the Liam Bailey-trained contender in the hands of Hollie Doyle.
