2.00 Newmarket: Zephyra
Zephyra could not match Crown And Two over course and distance on her debut, but she should take plenty of beating now back against her own sex.
Although slightly green early doors, the Marco Botti-trained filly stayed on well once the penny dropped to finish an encouraging second behind a winner that got first run on her.
With that experience under her belt, and conditions to her liking, the daughter of Kingman is likely to be much more streetwise on this occasion.
4.51 Newmarket: Traveling Man
It has been steady progress from Traveling Man in each of his four starts to date, however the switch to a handicap last time out at Salisbury gave a glimpse of the potential he has.
On that occasion he was played late before finishing third, but had he been slightly closer earlier on in the race he would have likely gone close to winning.
This race looks weaker than the last one that he contested, and provided he doesn’t give those on the sharp end too much rope, he can open his account at the fifth time of asking.

6.06 Stratford: Kittys Glance
Kittys Glance looks ready for a step up in trip, and she can make the most of the weight she receives all around here on her first start over two and three quarter miles.
The Alan King-trained mare ran a respectable race in defeat at Newton Abbot last time out over an extended two-and-a-quarter miles given she lost a shoe, and was trying to give the winner almost two stone in weight.
Although she is often seen staying on well, she has just lacked a gear to match the winner which hopefully this longer trip will play to her strengths at the finish.
8.06 Stratford: Berry Edge
Dan Skelton appears to have found a good opportunity for Berry Edge to make a winning start for his new yard.
Although relatively exposed on the Flat, the son of Mukhadram should have more progression still in him over jumps having only had the eights stats over hurdles.
Despite having a 156 day absence to overcome he is likely to be ready for this, and if the wind operation can help him find a little bit more improvement, then he could easily be up to defying a mark of 85.
