Jax Junior the pride of Pendil for Lucy Wadham

Jax Junior continued his progression with an impressive victory in the Ladbrokes Pendil Novices’ Chase at Kempton.

Trained by Lucy Wadham, the seven-year-old looked a different proposition last time out on his first run since a wind operation and stepping up half a mile in trip he was even more impressive.

Go West, trained by Paul Nicholls who has such an incredible record in this Grade Two, was really enjoying things out in front until making a serious blunder down the back straight.

Jasmine Bliss was left at the head of affairs but when Tom Cannon gave Jax Junior (8-11 favourite) some rein he shot clear and a spring-heeled jump at the last sealed it by six and a half lengths.
