1.42 Navan: Kerdos (e/w)
Kerdos drops into handicap company for the first time since the beginning of the 2024 campaign in this 5f sprint, which could allow him to fare better than when last seen at Naas. He put in a decent effort behind Mission Central in his penultimate start at the same venue, beaten only two-and-three-quarter-lengths at Listed level on that occasion in sixth.
Only 1lb higher than when previously touched off in handicap company earlier in his career, in the Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes at Royal Ascot, the Stephen Thorne-trained contender could pose a threat in the hands of Colin Keane. The rain forecast should further enhance his claims and, in calmer waters, the six-year-old may put in a big run.
1.50 Goodwood: Seven Questions
Five-year-old gelding Seven Questions appeared to win comfortably enough despite the narrow margin of victory over Dyonisos over 5f here when last seen. A 3lb rise may not be enough to stop his good run having finished fourth in a competitive handicap to Roman Dragon in his penultimate start at Chester.
A talented performer on his day, the son of Kodiac makes appeal for Robert Cowell under the in-form Jamie Spencer. He's a Group Three winner and has been competitive in handicaps from a higher rating in the past, therefore can be dangerous and pose a threat from a rating of 90.
2.52 Navan: Jon Riggens
Eight-year-old gelding Jon Riggens wasn't able to justify favouritism when last seen at the Curragh, but he could be worth keeping onside from a workable mark of 71, 10lb lower than when recording his latest success. He has threatened on a few occasions this season in competitive, big-field handicaps, but has so far been unable to return to the winners' enclosure.
From a dangerous mark, however, a fifth career win may not be too far in the future for the Edward Lynam-trained runner, and it could be worth keeping the faith in him.
Proven at the track, there's plenty to like about the chances of this experienced gelding, and this could be a feasible opportunity for him to return to winning ways.
3.27 Navan: Wemightakedlongway
In this Listed 1m1f contest, four-year-old filly Wemightakedlongway is an interesting contender on the back of a decent third at Haydock. She has form in varied ground conditions and has put in a number of noteworthy performances, including when second to Minnie Hauk in the Irish Oaks last season.
The daughter of Australia is yet to show the best of her form this term, but could be worth keeping onside considering she's a proven Group Three winner with form at the highest level against top class rivals. She should be capable of making her presence felt in this field under Classic-winning rider Dylan Browne McMonagle.
5.20 Goodwood: Blue Prince (e/w)
David Evans-trained Blue Prince finished a good third on reappearance at Kempton last month, beaten only a length on his return following a 215-day break. He's now 10lb below his last winning mark and could be able to pose a threat under Saffie Osborne, capable of making the frame if able to take a step forward from his latest start.
The course-and-distance winner has decent form figures at the track having run well here on multiple occasions in the past, and this could suit as he bids for a fifth career success in his 38th start. The five-year-old is well treated at the weights and could put in a bold showing.
