2.07pm Leicester: Blanquita
By finishing runner-up at both Beverley and Haydock, Blanquita has demonstrated that she is a proficient operator on testing ground, and dropping into a Class 6 nursery can unlock the door for Dylan Cunha’s charge.
She was in receipt of 7lbs when bumping into the progressive Crazy Cubana (now 78-rated) last time, so there are reasons to think that a mark of 65 slightly underestimates her ability.
2.25pm Redcar: Naepoint
Naepoint was with Ed Bethell when running out a comfortable winner of the Straight-Mile Series Final over C&D in October 2024, for his second straight win at the North Yorkshire venue.
It is fair to say that while we haven’t seen much of him (five appearances) since being gelded, and joining the Faheys, he has failed to shine.
However, there were more encouraging signs at Ayr’s Western meeting - fourth in a Class 2 at odds of 66-1 – so he’s worth chancing back on his last winning mark at a track where he remains unbeaten (2-2). This is his last chance to visit Redcar in 2026.
4.10pm Kempton: Imperial Ballet
The Flat trainers title looks set to elude Andrew Balding, but while there’s still hope the Kingsclere trainer will continue to press on. His Imperial Ballet looked like a potentially smart prospect when a clear-cut winner of a 6f Newbury Fillies’ Maiden last August.
However, the sixth foal from the 1m4f all-weather winner Osipova was absent for 13 months until reappearing over 7f at Southwell over three weeks ago. She weakened into fifth there behind Saeed Bin Suroor’s Cloud Forest. With that comeback run banked, she can defy a penalty at the expense of Divine Symmetry.

5.15pm Kempton: Showmaster
Showmaster, a 105,000gns yearling, kept on pleasingly to finish third to Kamaal on debut in a 7f Salisbury Novice and, granted natural progression, can strike at the second attempt.
His trainer Clive Cox is 8-35 (23% strike-rate) on the Kempton Polytrack in 2026, with Fast Track Harry, Arctic Tsar and Soeur De Flash all successful at the Sunbury-on-Thames venue over recent weeks.
6.15pm Kempton: Maldives (NAP)
Out of a Group-placed 7f juvenile winner who was a half-sister to the Futurity, Irish Champion Stakes, Tattersalls Gold Cup and Coronation Cup winner Luxembourg, Maldives cost Amo Racing Limited an eye-watering 2.9 million guineas as a yearling.
After a positive start (runner-up) at Yarmouth, she struggled in Listed and Group 2 company. However, off a four-month break, she acquitted herself well on handicap debut at Salisbury, finishing fourth to Hello Cotai. That form looks solid with the runner-up Arbaawy going close at Newmarket, the third Albus Anne scoring at Bath, and the fifth Bnaider justifying favouritism at Pontefract.
From a breeding perspective, it is important that she has a win to her name and this is a thin-looking novice with Liam Mera Kai (a 5yo) and the slow burner Flagbearer (a 485,000gns yearling) the likeliest threats.
