Racing TV Podcast: from England striker to racehorse trainer!

The latest episode of the brand new Racing TV Podcast is here! This week, Dan Barber and Martin Dixon are joined by Mick and Jack Channon.

Mick Channon played for England before forging a hugely successful second career as a racehorse trainer, and he opens up about handing over the licence to son Jack — why a yard needs one leader, how the transition has worked, and what comes next for the stable. Jack shares his ambitions for the yard, from finding more winners to targeting Group races.

The duo also share a couple of horses to follow, with Jack Channon saying: "He is a classy little two-year-old. He won the first nursery of the year at Nottingham and got hit with 8lb which made no sense and was very harsh seeing as the second only went up 2lb, and he beat it at length and a half, but I still think he's well handicapped and he'll go to the Goodwood nursery and take a bit of beating!"
