Andy Stephens (RaceiQ), Dave Nevison and Alex Scott all share selections for Saturday's action at Goodwood and Sandown, with every race from both meetings live on Racing TV.
2.00 Goodwood: Forty Years On
Tipster: RaceiQ nap of the day (Andy Stephens).
Best odds: 9-4.
Forty Years On arrives here fresh and can continue on the up provided the ground is good or softer.
She’s had the highest Finishing Speed Percentage in each of her six races, hitting the highest speed of all the runners in four of those. She clocked “fast” sectionals in each of the final three furlongs when scoring in style at Newbury last time.
An 8lb rise in a deeper race makes life trickier but we do not know where her ceiling is and she has a favourable draw, with RaceiQ indicating stall two gives her an instant 0.66 length advantage.
The one niggle is if the forecast rain does not arrive, as she has looked suited by a bit of give underfoot.

2.35 Goodwood: Tony Montana
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
Best odds: 5-1.
It is quite surprising that Michael Bell has never tried Tony Montana over this trip since he joined the yard. The gelding often seems to finish very well in very competitive events and this extra two furlongs could suit him well.
The five-year-old ran a promising race over this course and distance when with the Gosdens and can appreciate the step up in trip, especially as this race, while billed as a 0-105, has a top weight rated just 96 and might actually be less competitive than races he usually runs in. Softening ground would not be a problem.
2.50 Sandown: Calendar Girl
Tipster: Alex Scott.
Best odds: 4-1.
The BetMGM Atalanta Stakes looks a strong Group Three, but Calendar Girl is four from five and posted a career best when upped to a mile for the first time in the Dick Hern Stakes three weeks ago.
There could be much more to come from this progressive filly with that run now under her belt, and we also know she handles a slight ease in the ground having won on good to soft at Doncaster last year.
My suspicion is that she is better than this level and a win here could see her return to the Rowley Mile for the Sun Chariot Stakes, a course where she was a well-backed winner of a Group Three as a two-year-old.

3.10 Goodwood: Zavateri
Tipster: Alex Scott.
Best odds: 2-1.
He looks the leading player on form having finished fifth in both the Sussex Stakes and City Of York Stakes this summer, with the former effort coming after a 102-day injury-enforced absence after beginning his season with a second in the Greenham.
His juvenile campaign saw him land the July Stakes, the Vintage Stakes at this course, and the National Stakes at the Curragh, all over seven furlongs, but this extra furlong may be more to his liking now having looked undone by the speedy test on the Knavesmire last week.
The quick turnaround is a slight worry, but this step down in class could be the key to regaining the winning thread. The only three-year-old in the race looks to hold outstanding claims of making it a hat-trick of wins for the Classic generation following Ice Max in 2024 and Jonquil in 2023.
3.30 Sandown: Breacher
Tipster: Andy Stephens.
Best odds: 11-4.
Breacher looked an exciting prospect when beating an odds-on Juddmonte homebred on his debut at Salisbury.
He kept galloping when others had cried enough with his “fast” final furlong of 12.94 seconds hinting at much bigger days ahead. The runner-up took 13.48 seconds with none of the other runners breaking 14 seconds, plus the form has been franked.
The form has some substance, too, with the well-beaten fourth subsequently winning at Glorious Goodwood and now being rated 91.
