Tuesday tips: Dave Nevison's best bets at Beverley

Misunderstood has taken a little while since moving from France to David O’Meara (as had last weekend’s Ayr Gold Cup winner), but after dropping a few pounds for a few modest runs, is threatening to come good soon.

The four-year-old gelding has been beaten very narrowly on his two recent starts, both over this trip, and though the handicapper has moved him back up 1lb for each run, Misunderstood is in good enough order to score his first UK victory. Danny Tudhope is certainly no negative.

Style Of Life came back to life for this season when second over the extended mile here last time out getting run out of things close home after trying to make all.

Harriet Bethell’s mare had cheekpieces applied for that run and they clearly seemed to wake her up and they are back on this afternoon and hopefully will work again. She is drawn in stall 5, but has slow starters drawn in three of the stalls inside here so her excellent 5lb-claiming apprentice should be able to get the lead again once more.

Style of Life is probably best suited by this trip short of a mile and, being fresher than most rivals this autumn, has a good opportunity to win another handicap.

Amber Hamur couldn’t quite manage to complete a hat-trick last time out but went close enough at Musselburgh finishing third and still continued to show improved form.

Connor Beasley has already ridden her to win twice this season and, though she was beaten one and a half lengths, she is off the same mark this afternoon and should be able to land a similar race off 65.

Ed Bethell’s filly is 6lb better off with that race's winner Dalamara, and that should be enough to reverse the form, especially as he has been beaten since.
