This gelded son of Harry Angel has looked a work in progress on both starts to date.

He broke slowly on his debut at Newcastle before showing promise and then taking a step forward while still looking green when runner-up to a more experienced rival at Redcar last time.

Granted a small amount of improvement, he should prove up to winning this.

Was last in seen in the UK when finishing fourth in the Grade Two Dovecote hurdle.

He raced keenly on that occasion which compromised his finishing effort, though he was still beaten under ten lengths.

Soft ground was against him last time in France so that can be forgiven.

Fitness will need to be taken on trust but he can land this before exploiting a workable handicap mark.

3.35 Newton Abbot - Berry Edge

Was given wind-surgery prior to making his debut for the Skelton yard and while he ran creditably to finish second, it could be that his stamina was still stretched over the 2m4f trip.

He drops in grade and distance at this sharper track and in a race that lacks any depth, it'll be a disappointment if he doesn't collect.
