Angus McNae's Sunday tips: "he will be hard to beat"

2.00 Curragh: Kingdom of Camelot
Kingdom of Camelot shaped with a good deal of promise on his debut behind Darkness Falls on his debut at the Curragh.
He caught the eye making good late progress amidst inexperience. Still in 11th place with three furlongs top run he stayed on strongly under a hands and heels ride to finish fourth.
His final three furlongs were all faster than the RaceiQ par and with a stamina laden pedigree he looks sure to besuited by another furlong today. He is a bright staying prospect and can get off the mark.
2.35 Curragh: Big Gossey
Big Gossey has won ten times at the Curragh and can win again now that he is racing back at his best trip of six furlongs and is dropped back in grade to a Group Three.
The Group One Flying Five last time out showed that he does need six furlongs these days and racing at a mile two starts ago stretched his stamina too far.
All the stars would seem to be aligned this time over the right trip and in the right grade. He can make it eleven wins at the track.

3.22 Epsom: Marnier
The Jump Jockeys' Derby can go to the Gary and Josh Moore team for the third year in a row. Marnier has only run twice for this team, shaping well in a Class 2 at the Shergar Cup meeting and then running creditably last time out in a Class 3 at Goodwood where he probably found the ground to be too soft.
He drops in Grade to a class 4 today and carries top weight against some inferior rivals. This may well have been the target and if he can return to the form he showed when winning at Sandon for team Gosden in July then he will be hard to beat.
3.57 Epsom: Matins
This colt is unbeaten in a couple of starts and only had one rival to beat last time out, but in that contest he showed plenty of speed running each of the final five furlongs faster than the RaceiQ par.
That speed was on display as well on his debut when he won at Salisbury where on ground that was much slower than described, he ran the final two furlongs faster than par.
We have no idea whether a mark of 95 on his handicap debut is generous or not, but he looks to be a colt of considerable potential and in a small field where the race could become tactical his speed could be crucial.
