Serious Attitude could only finish a disappointing eighth behind King's Apostle in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville on Sunday, but trainer Rae Guest remains positive regarding the filly's future. The Newmarket handler reports his stable star to be none the worse for the experience and, like the winner, she will be considered for a trip to Haydock for the Betfred Sprint Cup.Guest said: "She's not back home yet but the lads have said she's fine so that's good news. It's always disappointing when you know you've got a good horse and things don't go right but she's a three-year-old filly and as I keep saying, it's hard for them running against these top sprinters."He added: "Next year, when's she a bit more mature, things will be easier but yesterday it was mainly down to the draw. Lesson In Humility was 4lb better off than when we beat her at York but we should still have been near when she finished (third)."Eddie (Ahern) tried to get across but she was left racing on her own for a bit and could have done with a bit of company."It is disappointing she couldn't show her best but we know the reasons and she's still all right. We're not going to run her much more this year but she's still in the Haydock race and if she comes back in fresh and well, she'll probably go for that."It will either be that or maybe the Diadem Stakes at Ascot (September 27). We'll just see how she is nearer the time."
